Mick Carter

Director – Superstar sales leader and chief empathy officer (aka relationship builder)

Mick has long been interested in cutting-edge technology and how it can help organisations overcome significant business issues. So, in 2017, he and his wife, Ness, had a well-defined vision when they launched The Michael Carter Group, which includes Beyond Clarity.

They wanted to make advanced technologies available to organisations seeking greater clarity about how to improve their operations and drive profit. But they also wanted to go beyond profit and help make the world a little better with technology that saves lives and protects the planet.

Mick has 30+ years’ experience based around technology delivery and support, including telematics. He has excellent operational insights into successful business growth.

He’s passionate about his customers and is committed to delivering value every time they interact with the Beyond Clarity team. This approach underpins his crusade to set the benchmark for customer experience, both pre and post sales

Today, Mick is as much an educator as a salesperson.

He’s an empathetic listener who learns about the challenges his customers are up against. And he invests time and energy into researching the right technology solution to solve their unique problem and deliver ROI.

He and Ness look after the products we supply, our vendor relationships, customer experience and key account management, plus our business growth and go-to-market strategies.

When he’s not up on stage in his other role as an inspiring, in-demand public speaker, Mick is also a mentor. He works one-on-one with people who are seeking to achieve high performance professionally, personally or both.

Somehow, he still finds time for relaxation, either tending his veggie and herb garden or cooking up a storm in the kitchen. He’s also happy to leave the cooking to the professionals and head out to dinner with friends or family.

Hamish Williams

Account Manager – Frontline sales ambassador and educator (all-round top bloke)

Hamish first developed his talent for exceptional customer service in the hospitality industry and has now enthusiastically brought everything he’s learnt into his role as Account Manager for New Zealand with Beyond Clarity based in Christchurch.

Hamish liaises with our customers and helps educate them about our range of technology product with a big focus on Geotab and EVSA. Using data driven results, he demonstrates how this technology can produce benefits for them that go beyond greater profits.

He gets immense satisfaction from knowing that what we do helps our customers, helps protect the planet as well as grow their businesses. He thrives on the supportive culture in our team.

Hamish loves the outdoors and when he’s not working you’ll find him socializing with friends, camping or off on a hunting trip with friends and family.

Ness Carter

Director – CEO and back office ninja

Ness works closely with Mick to run the business. She keeps things ticking along smoothly by managing the many back-of-house aspects of Beyond Clarity.

Like Mick, she’s committed to building strong relationships with our clients both professionally and personally. As a couple, they are a well-known and trusted team in our industry.

Ness’s garden is her happy place. Sometimes the stuff she grows ends up in Mick’s cooking. Her perfect evening includes fine wine, delicious food and the company of friends or family.

Nina Carter

Support expert – wearer of many hats!

Nina is a key member of our support team. She assists across all aspects of the business and has a sound understanding of all our products and services.
